Imagination Under the Ice

My overall interpretation of this quote is that a good book is like a battering ram, obliterating the door behind which live your imagination and emotional self. This lets your mind escape from the grasps of reality and roam free in a world of mystery, magic, fiction, and unfound knowledge, knowledge that may be false or true but it can contain information that This realm of ones subconscious thoughts is apparently quite important to some people. It provides an essential comfort that no one should be deprived of, it lets you take your mind off problems and relax. That comfort is what endless conquerors have tried to burn out of their enemies, and set a flame at their tree of hope. Most of all this comfort makes you believe. It inspires you to think, hey I could do that, or, I might be able to do something about this. Believing is the first step on the slow and tedious journey on the path to positive change, and that is the key to happiness. Others may have different points of view, but this is my opinion and to me it can explain a whole knew philosophy and create a new atmosphere.

An experience that I had was from the Artimus Fowl series. When I first stated these books I plummeted into a universe of mysterious plots and magical creatures. They danced on the surface of the frozen within me, forming small cracks and holes all over. Eventually after hours of taunting my brain until finally they broke through, and my imagination ran wild. I got all kinds of crazy ideas swimming around in the sea within me.
